Contemporary Loft
Warsaw, Poland
Occupying an upper floor of a historic building in central Warsaw, this loft pairs generous ceiling height with floor-to-ceiling glazing that pulls daylight deep into every room. The palette is deliberately restrained — oiled oak flooring, honed marble surfaces, and full-grain leather upholstery — letting the quality of each material speak for itself. Open-plan living and kitchen areas flow together without partitions, balanced by steel-and-glass details that complement the building's original character. A freestanding island in brushed stone anchors the kitchen, while the living space is arranged around low, sculptural furniture that keeps sightlines open. Bedrooms are wrapped in warm wood paneling and soft textiles, offering a quieter counterpoint to the loft's expansive volumes. Bathrooms continue the material story with full-slab marble walls and matte brass fixtures. Every finish was chosen to age well and feel better with time.
